Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) has recently increased its number of certified data networking in anticipation of the growth of the data business and to be able to provide more of its clients with global expertise.
Juan D. Manlapaz, Jr., Technical Training Division head, said PLDT leads with the most number of certified networking experts in the local telecommunications industry.
The telecoms giant now has 28 Cisco Certified Network Associates (CCNAs), 12 of whom recently passed a series of examinations for the next higher level of certification to become Cisco Certified Network Professionals (CCNPs).
We can see the bright future of the domestic and international data business and so we are continuously developing our staff to be globally competitive, Manlapaz said.
A CCNA or CCNP is a person certified by Cisco System Inc., one of the worlds leading suppliers of data networking equipment to have the expertise on Ciscos data networking technologies.
The Cisco home office in San Jose, California, USA, issues certificates and identification cards to these CCNAs and CCNPs. This certification is recognized worldwide.
